The myrtle berry is typical of Sardinia. These small berries have long been used to make the "Mirto Liqueur." Hand-picking the berries preserves their intense fruit flavors in full. After a 60-day maceration period, the liqueur is bottled and ready to be enjoyed. The Mirto Rosso is the classic among Sardinian liqueurs! It has a typical fruity myrtle scent with notes of wild berries. The taste is fruity and velvety with a slightly bitter finish. The liqueur's color is a deep ruby red.
